Graham Baden has done enough with bikes in the past four years to get a unique perspective on what it is to be a cyclist in this town.

Between getting himself involved with non-profit initiatives like starting the HUB Community Bike Center and cycling advocacy projects alongside Pedal Movement and Long Beach Cyclists, he's seen his fair share of what Long Beach can be as a bike friendly city. When he had a little run in with a Chevy Tahoe on his bike a couple years ago, he learned a lot about bicycle safety and has developed an understanding of how we make our commute and how our commute makes us. Now, as bike guy for The Workshop in Bixby Knolls, his favorite part of the day is just after school gets out when he gets to influence a new generation of Long Beach’s bike loving citizens.

After all that, he's learned what it is to be a bike rider in Long Beach, what it takes, and how and why we like to do it.

Well, anyway he’s still learning.
