Daisy chills at Hot Java after her ordeal on the street.

We’re very happy to report that Daisy (see December 28 Pet Post article “Emergency Relief! State-of-the-Art Critical-Care Facility for Pets Opens for Business” has been found, not without a couple of bumps, but reunited with her owner. Daisy had jumped out of her human’s car on Dec. 13. Her owner hadn’t reattached her tags, but she did have a microchip, which led to her rescue. She’d been hit by a car, and after scanning the chip, was released to her person. We can’t tell if her tags have been reattached, but we imagine (and hope) that they will be!

Virtually Pets

ACS is tearing its hare—er, hair—out right now trying to place a bunch of beautiful, friendly rabbits just like this one who have been dumped here and there. All rescues are full and cannot accept any more. Spay/neuter information on each bunny is available at the shelter at (562) 570-7387. Remember—rabbits need to be spayed or neutered just as do cats and dogs in order to avoid situations like this.
