I hope you will also publish your criteria for selecting the so-called "ten best teachers." The criterion might be more interesting than the results.

I nominate Anne Driskill, K/1 teacher at Fremont Elementary School. On a daily basis, she demonstrates her desire and motivation to work with children. She challenges the K/1 students, yet seems to find the time to incorporate music and art throughout the curriculum. Her loving manner and high expectations motivate her students to always do their best! Mrs. Driskill is an excellent role model for the students and shares the joy of learning. My 7th grade daughter had her in first grade and when asked who her favorite teacher is, without hesitation, she says Mrs. Driskill! My kindergarten son is now in her class and is benefiting from the rigorous standards-based curriculum and innovative instructional strategies. Mrs. Driskill has all of the attributes of an excellent teacher; kind, loving, caring, motivating, thought-provoking, exciting, and inspiring!
