Woman Fires Gun From East Village Apartment; SWAT Called

At 10:45PM on Friday September 14, the Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) responded to shots fired within the Lime Gardens Apartments complex at 4th Street and Lime Avenue in the East Village Arts District.
Upon arrival, LBPD noted several more shots fired over the course of the following two hours while the area was being contained and traffic was halted. Soon, SWAT was called onto the scene in order to address the severity of the situation.
Residents and visitors within the complex were evacuated and, after determining the specific unit from which the shots were coming from, police say they arrested an unidentified female subject.
According to the LBPD, no one was injured and the investigation is ongoing. More information will be added to this story as it becomes available.
