Wondering This event is "co-hosted" by the Councilman and at least two City depts involved....$$$??? Wondering But it did look like a nice event and liked seeing young teenagers doing something positive! Stephen Du Prey As a volunteer in building the red wood planters the youth were taught practical work skills, using hand tools, leveling the beds, use of a compound T-square and scribing wood material, grading, drainage of the plot, moving soil with a wheel barrow and even how to properly use a shovel. Skills which will make them a more diverse person and a valued member in the work force. We as adults need to mentor our youth it's what they need in todays world, hands on experience, find ways to teach them. The Peace Garden is a medium for the teaching of all skills for youth, find your place there and share.
