January 5, 5:34pm |
Today at approximately 12:02pm, Long Beach Police responded to a shooting call in the 2100 block of Orange Avenue, which resulted in the death of a male adult.

When officers arrived, they discovered the victim, identified as 19-year-old Jeff Pouncil of Long Beach, who had sustained a gunshot wound to the upper torso. Long Beach Fire Department paramedics responded and transported the victim to a local hospital with serious injuries. The victim was pronounced deceased shortly thereafter.

The preliminary investigation indicates that the victim was walking northbound on Orange Avenue with a male friend when confronted by the suspect. The suspect opened fire on both subjects, striking only Victim Pouncil, before fleeing. A motive for the shooting is unknown, but the incident is being investigated as possibly gang-related.

when do people wake up, and realize, that crime don't pay. at the end of the day, ask yourself was it really worth it,a life is more important than someone's ego.

Realist
Should we blame the parents, or Christianity that forbids birth control?

MORE real
How about we blame ourselves for allowing this city to HAVE all of these cracker-boxes filled with cockroaches, all so that the city govt can line it's pockets?

No, not all the people in these cracker boxes are bad people... but it is mostly very trouble people, with very troubled children, who create a tremendous burden on the rest of us.

MY question is why some of you seem so beholden to this policy, all so that your corrupt local govt can prosper at the rest of our expense?????????????????

Dave in Alamitos Beach
