City Prosecutor to Present IMPACT Awards by Long Beach Post | Staff Reports | 01.25.12 |
+ 2:00pm | The Long Beach City Prosecutor’s Office has announced that it will present 5 awards to individuals and groups who, working with the City Prosecutor’s Office, have made “a significant, positive impact in the City of Long Beach in the past year.” “Each of these recipients have partnered with the City Prosecutor’s Office to make a meaningful difference in our City,” said City Prosecutor Doug Haubert. “There are many unsung heroes who deserve recognition and it was hard to choose just five. All of these recipients have passion for what they do and are fully deserving of recognition.” Three of the five awards will go to officers of the Long Beach Police Department. Long Beach Police Chief Jim McDonnell stated ”I am always proud when our officers get special recognition for a job well done. The dangers these officers face in their everyday duties does not deter their dedication in working with the community and bettering our neighborhoods. Congratulations to our officers as well as the other recipients for their accomplishments.” The five awards will be presented to:
