+ Long Beach native Jesse James, world-renowned as the owner of West Coast Choppers motorcycles and customization shop and husband to actress Sandra Bullock, has taken to the internet to plead for help finding his lost dog, a pitbull named Cinnabun (pictured below). The dog is one of many that hang around the shop on Anaheim Street near the Los Angeles River, and James has set the internet on fire with his Twitter pleas for help. So, all you have to do is find a pitbull in Long Beach. Shouldn't be too hard, right? Please call 562.983.6666 with any information. Photo from Jesse James' Twitpic account

Dave in Alamitos Beach No matter your feelings about pit bulls, or West Coast Choppers for that matter, Sandy is the First Lady of Long Beach. ;-) Let's find Cinnabun. Arfy Jeeze, first a story on the city's most famous community organizer's dead dog, now the most famous tough guy's missing dog. What about all the dead and missing mutts from all us ordinary schlubs, can we get max exposure for our pets too? No? Gotta be famous, huh? Why don't you start a new column in the LB Post just for pet obits and missing notices... open to anybody in LB. What do y'all think? ETrine No joke, a lone pit bull shredded my neighbors dog this morning. Fortunately, it wasn't the pit bull in the photo above. Godfather I am a Cisco's customer and I know that JJ is very community orientated. However, if he really does love the dogs that hang around his business, then he should spay and neuter all those dogs, perhaps he could also house them at his business in a proper shelter. It saddens me greatly to see our canine friends wandering the streets and freeways of LB. Just last week I saw several dogs roaming the streets - scared, wet, tired, and hungry I am sure. Please lets all of us do our best to help curb the ever expanding dog and cat population by being responsible pet owners and lovers. Arfy You idiot Anonymous Good luck Jesse I hope you find your cinnabun Lisa I'm not sure when the dog was lost, but on Sunday morning I had actually been riding on the bike path along the river coming from Anaheim towards downtown and had thought I'd try to go down the part of the path that leads downtown, but I saw a pitbull running up the hill towards the bike path. It had a collar on but wasn't with anyone. It had run across the road and then up the hill. I turned around because I didn't want to run across a pit bull I didn't know while I was on a bike. I called that number and left a message, but it was strange and I'm not sure it was actually left on anything. I have no idea if this was the dog, but I hope they find Cinnabun. Birdman of long beach Arfy your name should be Barfy because thats what people like you do you make us decent people of long beach barf. Famous people and there pets earn there spot in the lime light. They do much more for the community in a day than losers like you Cynics do in a lifetime. Jesse James isnt the most famous tough guy. Him and his beautiful wife Sanda Bullock are famous because of there hard work and they both have accomplished things that no other American has ever accomplished. If you had a pet that did a public service that these beautiful dogs did to earn there spot in the lime light. Then people would go out of there way to help you get them back. Judy & Kate are two of the most caring animal loving women in the world. If you had lost a pet and ask for there help finding it I doubt seriously if they would turn you down just because you're a nobody who finds misery in everything. And yes thats a good idea having a place for people to list there missing pets if they happen to care enough about getting them back. I truely doubt you Cynics are pet owners and if you are I can just imagine the hugs & kiss's and appreciation your pets would get from any of you. They are probally stuck in those horrible cruel small animal carriers all day while you are at work that they can hardly even turn around in. You could pay and have photo's of your missing pets in almost any paper in the world so a person does not have to be famous to get exposure for a missing pet. All they have to do is love there pet enough to go to all lengths to get there beloved pet back home safely and not be so cheap. I can just imagine all the horrible pathetic things you said when Judy & Kate did the story on my bird rescue and had a photo of my Pitbull Babygirl kissing a injured pigeon trying to help it and make it well. I bet you almost had cartiac arrest on that one. Maybe after a couple years of nasty disrespectful hurting comments from you Cynics on here you could kind of become famous in a sick and twisted kind of way. Jesse James and Sandra my family will pray for Cinnabuns safe return. Long Beach Resident I lost my cat once or he got lost and I posted Poster Size "LOST" flyers on every pole in Long Beach. Someone asked me if my cat was running for President. 3 months later, I got him back. Someone saw that poster in a Laundry Mat and told a friends friend who had found him. DO NOT GIVE UP IN YOUR SEARCH. PERSISTENCE PAYS OFF! I will keep my eyes and ears open too. Artsy Two weeks ago I found a cute stray dog by my place and took the time to feed her and take her to the LB Animal Shelter. I followed up on her because I thought she was the cutest and found out that her family claimed her (bittersweet news). There is people out there who take the time to help these deserving animals (whoever is the owner). The best reward is to know you helped bring happiness back to a family. I will keep my eyes open WCC Fan Cinnabun got out through a gate that was left open on Monday afternoon....someone in the area has to have found her or seen her, and most likely has decided to keep her. just spread the word...if this was your pet, you'd do the same Arfy Birdman I'm not hateful I just need love and affection like your pets. Your gushing emotions have strummed a chord deep in my locked away heart. Would you be my special Valentine this year? Maybe we could go to the dog beach and throw kisses and Kibbles to all the wonderfull doggies. BUGGA BOO BOO I hope someone finds Cinnabun before he bites someones bun off; They have a reputation for that you know! MB gal Arfy, you're an idiot Noogacfl Cinnabun is the sweetest dog you could ever hope to meet. You people that are complaining about pitbulls or complaining about celebrity dogs getting too much attention make me sick. Either help get Cinnabun home or keep your comments to yourself. HBDanny Man I think it is great that someone would go and search out his pet. Doing anything to find them, famous or not. Just imagine what he would do for his children. There is no other town that is so animal friendly than LB. Keep your eye out good people of Long Beach. molly Haven't you ever heard the saying "don't blame the breed, blame the deed". I as well used to be scared of Pit Bulls, but we rescued one, and she is the most wonderful little creature ever. She is more laid back than our Basset Hound and our Min Pin is more vicious than she is. Please help find this dog, no matter what her breed is, and as we learned in kindergarten, if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. I'm praying Cinnabun finds her way back home. shannon_peace You don't have to be famous to have a Twitter account or be online. Any of us could make the same pleas through our own social networks. JJ and Sandra have done more for special needs dogs than most of us have and irrelevant of that.....no one wants their dog gone! I'm helping by RT all his tweet pleas. LB Luvs Pets There is an ad currently running in the Grunion Gazette: Found Boxer / Pit Mix Brownish/Blonde. Solid, Well Nourished. Very Nice... Found Downtown by Int'l Twrs Alamitos & Ocean on Tuesday am 1/5/10. Call (310) 661-0390 Probably not Cinnabun but worth a shot! Birdman of long beach Arfy , the only thing you would throw to a dog would be something to injure it. You represent the ugly and twisted side of our world. Animals represent Love and kindness and you represent Hate and ignorance. I can just imagine how inferior you must feel around animals with the genuine love they have to give from there hearts. You know you could never be like them quality for quality in your lifetime so you bash them. Morons like you should leave our great city because we sure don't want you here. You critics are abusive and probally kicked anything around smaller than you your whole life because you are cowards. I bet none of you ever served in the Marines because they teach you to be a man and protect the helpless from abusive creeps. I bet none of you big mouth idiots would have the guts to put your name on here like my friend Keith Cordes did. But then again he is a man and not a coward. I want to make a comment about Pitbulls. I have doctored over 3,000 injured pigeons and my Pitbull Babygirl kiss's every bird I doctor trying to help them and make them well. She wrestles with cats and loves them dearly. The only time she would get mad at a cat is if its the cat trying to hurt another cat outside so she protects the weaker animals just like her dad does. And that is why she would deserve kiss's and hugs and kibbles at the dog beach. She earns them with love and compassion and her desire to protect anything to weak to protect themselves. Thank you MB gal you're quite a woman. shut up arfy hey Arfy all us ordinary schlubs can get maximum exposure for our pets... its called determination and spreading the word just like Jesse is doing. he barely has 12,000 followers not hundreds of thousands... but all us 'ordinary schlubs' are helping him by getting the word out. SO buddy, you dont have to be famous.... because if it werent for us ordinary schlubs these famous people would go unnoticed. we're the ones who are creating the maximum exposure. praying for you cinnabun! Judy Griffith When a pet gets lost. Does not matter is the person is famous or not. What matters, is the pet is lose. Could get killed or eaten by wildlife. and he or she needs to fine her or his way home.I have chansed many pets in the middle of road. I have sat down in the middle of the road. to coax a pet to come to me. It is not easy. But with time. You can do it. I do not care if the person or the pet is famous. All I care about is them finding there way back home. Good night to all. Judy Griffith The Rat Whisperer !! Arfy Jeeze Birdman, you sure have a vivid imagination. Look at all the kooky stuff you invented about me just becuase you don't like my point of view. Instead of creating monsters to slay why don't you just address my point and leave the hystrionics, hyperbole and fantasy for the funny pages. Unfortunately for you we still have free speech in this country and if you don't like it YOU can leave. Birdman of long beach Judy, just last night I sat on the ground coaxing a beautiful ferrel kitten into a carrier which I did. A full grown ferrel cat was getting aggressive with this kitten and may have hurt it severely so what would these beautiful helpless animals do if we didnt try to help them. I truely understand the love in your heart and there should be more loving and caring people like you. You care for the animals few people would ever consider helping just like I do with the injured tortured pigeons. But they are gods creatures and deserve to have someone help them. " Keep up the good work Judy as you are a inspiration to others " Arfy , yes we are a very fortunate nation to have free speech. If your feelings get hurt because someone blasts you back because you like to hurt people with words that are already in pain from a loss then you deserve it and brought it on yourself with your ignorance and cold heart. You go out of your way to hurt people that are already in pain with the things you say. I can't imagine what happened to you in life to make you so insensitive to other peoples feelings. I don't read sports that don't interest me. Why would you critics go out of your way to read articles you have no interest in to begin with if it wasnt for just looking for things to be hateful and disrespectful about. I am a nice guy and rarely ever have a unkind word to say to anyone but people like you that like to hurt people and there emotions at a time in there life when they are already hurting really bring the worst out in a person. Nothing I could ever say could really hurt your feelings because you enjoy the attention you get from your cruel remarks. But I will always stand up for the animals you critics feel so inferior to because of the love they have in there hearts. Do something good for the animals and the community and people would only respect you and have nice things to say about you. Godfather Arfy - you don't even know me, yet you call me an idiot. There are some people in this world who would take offense to such a statement. I however, was raised by caring, loving, and kind parents who taught me to always: 1. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. 2. Always consider the source of the statement. 3. Defend the undefenseable. I will pray for you Artsy and I hope that you find the love and care that you are so desperately searching for!!!!!!! Arfy Godfather, I didn't post that "idiot" comment. I think it was someone trying to call ME an idiot. Birdman, you should count the number of times YOU use the word "hate". I did not say anything against JJ. My point was about preferential treatment for famous people and that anybody should be able to get the word out about their missing pet. I would think you would support that. I think you are over reacting and reading"hate" and disrespect of animals and their owners into my point. Again, read my words and compare them to the numerous assumptions you make about me. That's great that you help animals, but that doesn't make me the antichrist just for making a criticism within the context of a missing pet story. Marley The gangs took her for dog fighting.... talk to michael vick, JJ he may be able to help you. Anonymous orr how could do this Kate K I don't know about vicious pit bulls--I've met some pretty sweet ones--but there seems to be a number of vicious humans. When something happens in a celebrity's life, it, by nature of celebrity, gets a higher profile, but this can work to the benefit of the rest of us. When Wheely Willy and Rosie died, it reminded me of the love I have for my own pets and the sadness I feel when they, too, pass. I don't understand the problem that people have with this--it doesn't mean that they neglect people--in fact, just the opposite. Similarly, a lost pet reminds us to keep our gates shut (Mr. James, take note) and keep them indoors (you're ultimately the boss, even if you own a cat). I hope that he finds his pet. The two posts from Shannon_PEace and LB Luvs PEts are helpful--you can also visit the Pet Harbor Web site at http://www.petharbor.com/WelcomeFrameSet.htm to circulate postcards. Hope Cinnabun is found and returned. Artsy ARFY: "Why don't you start a new column in the LB Post just for pet obits and missing notices... open to anybody in LB. What do y'all think?" ---- I haven't read into all of Arfy's "hateful" comments, but I think he has a great suggestion of a column/section where all LB residents can post an image and/or brief description of their missing pet. Amanda I saw this dog on Tuesday morning crossing the street right by my house. I could tell that it was still a puppy and very well taken care of (because her coat was so shiny) she looked sweet and i knew that she had to have owners looking for her! She had a pink collar on.. but with NO TAGS! So i figured there was really nothing i could do. :( ... so i let it continue walking. The dog was not reported missing until Thursday, i feel SO BAD that i saw her and just let her go. :( I left a message on the answering machine of the posted phone number, but never received a response. In this neighborhood i'm sure someone kept her! She is a good looking dog! I will continue to keep my eyes peeled. :) This was on Spring and Del Mar. (between Veteran's Park and LB Blvd) I hope she (along with all other lost pets) will be returned to her home. BARBARA during the week of the heavy rains / some time after Jan. 19, I noticed a tan pit bull looking dog run into our cul-de-sac in Yorba Linda, obviously on the loose. I was upstairs with my 2 labs looking out our bay window when I noticed a dog on the loose running up to the driveways in our cul-de-sac where there are 5 houses / at the intersection of Yorba Linda Blvd and Casa Loma Circle.
