2:30pm | The Associated Press and other outlets have reported that 63-year old Claude Edward Foulk, the suspect arrested Tuesday in a child molestation case, is the executive director of a Northern California mental hospital.

Foulk was fired from his position upon news that he allegedly molested a former foster child, now a grown man in his 40's. Since that news broke, another grown man formerly a child in Foulk's care has come forward with similar allegations. Police said on Wednesday that at least five victims had been molested.

1:30pm Wednesday |
Long Beach detectives believe they’ve closed the book on a 35-year old child molestation case with the arrest of 63-year old Claude Edward Foulk, the Police Department said today in a statement.

Detectives began investigating the case in September 2009, and arrested Foulk in Napa yesterday on a $3.5 million warrant for 35 counts of Lewd and Lascivious Acts with a Child.

Police say that Foulk molested five victims in Long Beach between 1975 and 2006.

The investigation is ongoing and there may be additional victims or witnesses. Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Sex Crimes Detail at (562) 570-7368.

Now let me see if I got this straight; It took 6 months to catch a 35 year old child molestation case that took place with a 63 year old man when he was 28 years old - Good Grief, Charlie Brown, how old is the child now, and why did it take 34.6 years to start the investigation? sheesh...

This Scrooge's life is done for. Bah humbug!

Erin
Did you ever think that maybe the victims just recently came forward? I seriously doubt LBPD has just been sitting on this case, doing nothing for 35 years. Give them some credit for catching the creep!

Alex
Yeah for Long Beach PD! They rock!

Capster
Could also be possible the case was suspended for lack of evidence or information back then, and that either new evidence came to light or new technologies (like DNA testing) were successful in pinning down a suspect. Either way, here's to hoping justice is done in the end!

BUGGA BOO BOO
NO, ERIN, they were sitting at IHOP'S drinking coffee & inhaling donuts since 1975 contemplating their navels...

BUGGA BOO BOO
YA SURE CAPSTER - I think you've been watching too many TV Cop Shows...:>)

YOU WANNA KNOW
What's going to happen with that turkey? He'll qualify for over 200 years jail time on those 35 counts, but will most likely end up serving only a few years jail time and then released & regestered as a child sex offender - in YOUR neighborhood...Jails are over crowded now, you know, due to California's economy...Don't say I didn't - TOLDJA!

"The investigation was started in September after a man now in his 40s came forward, Long Beach Police Sgt. Dina Zapalski said." From this link: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/02/24/claude-foulk-ca-hospital-_n_475844.html

CHARLIE
Well at least I got a rize out of you guys:>) Lets see now - Paul, Ryan said the guy was 63,and Pierre, glad to learn about LBPD's new hang out I'll have to check out the parking lots Black & Whites nore often:) and HI Grumpy Guy, Ryan wouldn't allow me to espress my true feelings about O'Flagellan and his alter boys.:) BUT, my court predictions on Faulk still stand...Anyway, yall have a great day now, ya hear!

Capster
Bugga Boo Boo - it would appear that if your mind were any narrower on this subject, you could turn sideways and entirely disappear! Having worked with seven police departments in the South Bay for most of 10 years, I can say with KNOWLEDGE (what a concept) that your assessment is as far off the mark as it could get. But humorous almost...

Bugga boo boo to Capster
Ooooooo, Capster, we're getting a bit upset to name calling are we, tsk tsk tsk - You really must stop watching those Cop Shows; Your going to start believing yourself.:>)
