2:30pm | The sensation of barbeque-truck-catering has been sweeping through the Los Angeles area for some time now, and at the forefront of that movement is Kogi BBQ and their highly-regarded Korean dishes mixed with the flair of L.A. street preparation.

Tonight, Kogi BBQ will be in Long Beach from 6:30pm to 9:30pm at the Quality Inn, 3201 E. PCH. The announcement was made just a few minutes ago on Kogi BBQ’s wildly popular Twitter page.

Technically, the location is in the city limits of Signal Hill, but I would imagine that most of tonight’s customers will be coming from Long Beach.

BBQ has four trucks that make appearances from Santa Clarita to south Orange County, often with little notice but regularly attracting massive crowds and selling out of their signature tacos.  My recommendation: the short rib taco ($2) or the Kogi Sliders (two for $5). Can’t go wrong.

It will be at the Quality Inn in Signal Hill!

They tried to be at this location before but was kicked out. Hope they get to stay this time.

Hopefully they have their permits in order this time. Last time Kogi came to that same location, a Signal Hill cop told them they had to leave because they didn't have the proper permits. We ended up having to follow them to the Carson Ikea. All in all it was well worth it though, delicious food!
