The crowd awaits the Cold War Kids
BuskerFest was, in my humble estimation, a success by any measure. Thousands of people came to enjoy live local music presented on four impromptu stages throughout the East Village Arts District, and vote for their favorite bands.

Lee Catastrophe were the last group to play in the East Village Art Park, and entertained delighted fans by handing out kazoos and encouraging folks to join in.

Justin Hectus, one of the organizers of the Summer And Music series, has announced the BuskerFest winner: The Pawn Shop Kings.

Next week, Funk Fest gets Pine Avenue jumping!

it was really an awesome event--went with my wife and a few friends and we all agreed, if this were a monthly event (even without cold war kids) we'd definitely make it at least ten times a year.

An amazing event. What a great bunch of musicians. I saw several bands/acts that I will be looking for in local venues.

I didn't stay the entire time, but I loved the bands I saw play and it was so exciting to see such a great crowd coming together in the East Village. Thank you Justin, thank you Cold War Kids.
