12:00pm |  LBPOSTsports.com will be recording the third annual SportsNight Super Bowl Spectacular at Legends Restaurant & Sports Bar this year, where owner Gene Rotondo and his staff have collected swag from all over Long Beach to give to the people on Super Bowl Sunday...

LBPOSTsports: Gene, are you serious?  Between $100-$500 worth of stuff?

Gene Rotondo: We've been doing it like this for about 10 years and we get some great stuff from local businesses like sporting event tickets, gift certificates, gift baskets, bikes, and one out of every ten people will get a portable DVD player.  The $35 cover at the door is for some of this, but everyone will be leaving with a lot more than $35 worth of stuff, that's for sure.  We get a lot of this stuff from local businesses, so it's a real community effort.

LBPS: Wow, sounds like a late Christmas.  But let's talk about what really matters: the food.

GR: We're going to have a special Super Bowl menu with all the favorites, including of course the famous wings... we're going to make between 800-1,000 pounds of wings on Sunday, that's almost a half ton.  We're also taking To-Go orders all morning (8am-12pm) so you can have the wings for your own party.  It's not really a Super Bowl party without 'em.  And of course, we'll have drink specials and a shot girl.

LBPS: Anything else special going on?

GR: Well as always we'll have the big 20 ft. screen down.  It's the largest commercial non theatrical screen in Southern California.  I made sure it was a little bigger than the one at Junior Seau's place... Oh, and 11-year-old Sabrina Lentini is going to sing the National Anthem here before the game.

LBPS: What, she's just going to sing from the floor area?

GR: Ah, we'll put her up on the bar or something.  She's amazing and has sung at Lakers, Angels and Kings games.

LBPS: Well, that sounds like the recipe for a party.  Now for the real question, who you got in the game?

GR: I like to root for the underdog, but my favorite team is always overtime.  It's going to be a great time and it could be our best year so far.

If you want tickets to the Super Bowl, or any game for that matter, don't forget about Vince Dwyer. He's the guy that manages the Legends Box Office Ticket booth.

The real question is "is Sandra Bullock going to be there?" Just kidding, Gene you always throw a great party. Hope I can make it.

Wingman
Don't believe Sandra will be there; however, rumor has it that a notable past Dodger player will be in attendance.

JR Salazar
This will be great. Enjoy, guys!

CHS
Hope you guys are having a great time!
