LBSU Hockey: Niners Don't Cash In At UNLV

The Niners were playing under the bright lights of Las Vegas, but the Rebels showed why they're undefeated at home, with a commanding 5-1 win over the 49ers on Friday night. Long Beach still had some road-weary legs as their forecheck, passing, and defense was not as crisp as games past. Alex Miklovic played another great game in net despite the loss.

After the game, several Rebels were seen at the casino bar playing blackjack until well midnight. Even the Rebels were quick to compliment Alex's 'sic' tending skills—and, even though they didn't get the win, it's safe to say it was a fun road trip.

Mike:

When our team doesn't come even close to decent against a team like this, "fun road trip" is way too flattering.
